L. Clive Newman

Clive Newman was trained as an architect and worked in private practice, mainly in the commercial and industrial field.

In 1981 he joined a leading international fire protection company where he became involved in product development designed to meet specific fire risks in buildings.

In 1986 he was appointed as Technical Director of the company, a position he held until joining FiSEC in 1994. During this period he was responsible for developing solutions to a wide range of fire related problems and for testing and certification of products to meet local legislative requirements around the world.

He is a member of, or chairs, a number of industry based technical committees, some of which have an international base

He is an expert member of several fire related British Standard Committees and has been a contributor to numerous technical publications.
